Apple will sell 70-75 million iPhone 2018 in 4 Months

The family of iPhone 2018 will also make a bang according to the sources of Digitimes , according to which both the main producers (Foxconn and TSMC) already rub their hands in anticipation of the results of the fourth quarter. We even expect between 70 and 75 million new generation iPhone sold in the remaining months of 2018; remember that the two OLED models (with 5.8 and 6.5 inches display) should arrive in mid-September, while the cheaper, 6.1-inch LCD display in October / November. In short, there will not even be a full sales quarter – but on the other hand it will be the most important one, Christmas shopping.

According to sources, sales volumes will reach record levels of the year for iPhone 6 (and 6 Plus , of course). For TSMC, which is the only producer of the 7-nanometer Apple A12 chips, revenues should reach 10.4-10.5 billion dollars in Q4, 8.28-8.38 billion in Q3; also calculating the orders of HiSilicon / Huawei for the Kirin 980 SoC and Qualcomm for the Snapdragon 855, the 7-nanometer production process will account for about 20 percent of the total turnover of TSMC by the end of 2018; the percentage will increase in 2019 with the arrival of the Nvidia and AMD GPUs at 7 nm.

The task of assembling the new iPhone will be split between Foxconn and Pegatron. The first will be responsible for most of the production of the two OLED models and about 30 percent of the LCD model. Even for Foxconn, the iPhone 2018 effect has already made itself felt : the turnover of July 2018 was the highest ever, and should continue to grow until the end of 2018. Overall, the turnover of the second half of the year will be significantly higher than the first half.
