iPhone 2018: LCD model later also for Kuo, and no Apple Pencil
Two OLED iPhones in September and an LCD in October also for Ming-Chi Kuo, historical analyst very well informed about everything related to Apple. The updated projections of Kuo are aligned with the rumors that have been pursued in the last period, although only in June there was the belief that all the iPhone would arrive in September.
Kuo also denies the idea that Apple phones this year will support the Apple Pencil – risked by some considering how the Cupertino company has decided to remove its exclusivity to the iPad Pro range with the iPad 2018 . In the case of iPhone, Kuo’s reasoning is very simple: the user experience would not be much.
According to the analyst, all three iPhone will mount the same SoC, or the Apple A12 ; expected 5 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage for the most prestigious models (5.8 and 6.5 inches display with OLED technology), while 3 GB and up to 256 GB of storage (but five colors instead of three ) for the LCD model – which, remember, should have a diagonal of 6.1 inches.
Depending on the markets, dual SIM versions will be available ; however, in the smaller model instead of two compartments for physical SIM there would be a compartment and an eSIM. In markets not affected by the dual SIM variant, the eSIM chip would still be present but not active.
