Although there is no obvious change, the Google App Beta for Android has also updated this week thus arriving at version 8.18. With this latest update for google playstore, Google has decided to work on track, without introducing new features, but at the same time preparing the application to support a multilingual Assistant and a Hands-Free mode 

As reported by the strings in the source code, the Google App may soon include, as was anticipated in February during the Google I / O 2018, the multilingual support on Assistant thus allowing the user to interact with the application using / speaking more than one language at the same time.

Regarding Hands-Free , however, it should be another feature, all to be discovered, which would allow Assistant to read aloud incoming notifications.
