Quick Steps: How To Update Android System On Your Device

In this tutorial we are going to teach you how to install the latest version of Android on all your devices.

To get the most out of your Android smartphone, make sure your operating system is up-to-date. This also applies to your tablet. Performance issue, updating the operating system of your Android devices is as important as updating your apps, so follow our tutorial!

How To Update Android System quickly?

To start updating the system on your android device, just follow the steps below to install the latest version of the android OS on your smartphone or tablet. In brief, these steps you should follow:

  • Go to settings
  • Software Update
  • Download Updates manually
  • If your device already updated you will find (The latest updates have been already installed) .
  • if your device is not updated then you can start downloading updates.

1-Check your version of Android

Before you start, check which version of Android you’re using, maybe you’re already up to date. The latest version of this operating system is called Android 8 Oreo. But,Android 8 Oreo is not yet available on all devices, but will be, gradually, over the next few months.

Previous versions of Android are Nougat 7., Marshmallow 6.x, Lollipop 5.x. and KitKat 4.4x (the other variants, KitKat 4.3, 4.2 and 4.1 are now grouped under the name Jelly Bean.)

It’s possible to force your Android smartphone or tablet to search for an update, but alas it does not mean you’ll be able to install it on your device (if it’s very old).

If your phone or tablet runs on a version older than Jelly Bean, unless you’ve never updated it, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to install a newer version on the smartphone.

2-Settings

For security reasons, it’s best to back up your phone’s data, such as contacts and photos, before you start update Android System on your device. It should not affect the information on your phone but it is not guaranteed.

Go to the settings of your device. For most Android tablets and phones, the settings are available in the application menu and in the notification bar at the top of the screen (the icon represents either an adjustable wrench or a cog).

3-“About the tablet” or “About the phone”

  • In your settings, at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
  • Find a About the phone tab or About the tablet .

The menus vary slightly from one mobile phone to another (same for tablets), but there you will find another tab called Update .

If an update is available and compatible with your device, a message appears asking if you want to install it.Press start download.
